Here I am again-taking far too long to post on my blogger site! It’s2019! Far out, time is simply flying by! I have 4 beautiful grandchildren, still have my health, though my Mets is still in my back. Have been feeling increasingly tired as time goes on, but I know I am in a much better position than other cancer patients.
Said goodbye to sister Phil a week ago, after she had spent 10 days here is Broadford. She found an Air BNB place, which turned out to be wonderful for her. We did lots of tourist stuff, including my introducing her to Yum Cha. She loved it. We visited the Aquarium, & visited the grandkids many times. A good Christmas was had by all.
To the original reason for my posting - saying goodbye to Harriet. She was a loyal & wonderful companion, & saw me through some difficult times. I have been having major renovations done at my Public Housing place, so it was necessary to put her in a cattery for some of the time. I did it once, & unfortunately she scratched & bit the worker so severely, the worker had a week’s stay in hospital. I was devastated. I couln’t believe it, but it served to prove that she would never tolerate other people besides me. She also had a rasping cough. So I made the very difficult decision to have her euthanised. Very hard. I miss her, but I am aware she is in a quieter place. RIP lovely girl.
